3. GDPR

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a European data privacy and security law for organizations around the world. The regulations were launched on May 25, 2018. The law fines those who breaks privacy and security standards with penalties reaching millions euros.

Note: For our user-case, there are additional laws besides the GDPR that are relevant. On the basis of Article 7.3.12 of the Dutch Youth Act, information can be given to third parties for statistical research without permission from the person requiring care. In addition, on the basis of Article 2.3 of the Youth Act, municipalities have the obligation to provide appropriate youth care for all children and families in need. We contribute to this by means of the dashboard and the associated analyses.
